Lingfield is a rural village in south-east Surrey, close to the borders with Kent and West Sussex.

The village centre includes a Co-op convenience store, whilst East Grinstead to the south offers a larger shopping centre.

There is an active community centre in the village (link) with classes and community events.

Lingfield Park racecourse is nearby (see aerial photographs). A wildlife centre (link) can be visited to the west of the village.

The A22, west of the village, runs north to junction 6 of the M25 (see map). There are rail services from Lingfield railway station north to London Victoria and London Bridge and south to East Grinstead.
