Thames Ditton is located in north Surrey between Esher and Kingston-upon-Thames.

The village is on the river Thames opposite the formal gardens of Hampton Court Palace (see aerial photographs).

The small High Street has a number of traditionally-styled buildings (photos)and there is a library a short walk south of the village centre.

Thames Ditton railway station is on the Hampton Court to London Waterloo line. The A3 can be reached to the south (map).
