Staines
Staines is located by the side of the River Thames in north Surrey (see aerial photographs).
Staines has a large town centre, centered around the pedestrianised High Street. On the north side of the High Street is the Two Rivers area which includes a Waitrose supermarket and a Vue cinema. On the south side is the Elmsleigh indoor shopping centre which includes a Marks and Spencer store.
Trains run from Staines to London Waterloo, and west towards Reading and Windsor, and round to Weybridge to the south. Hatton Cross underground station is around 4 miles to the north-west of the town centre on the A30. There are currently proposals for a rail link (Airtrack - link) between Staines and Heathrow Airport.
Junction 13 of the M25 is nearby, and in turn provides access to the M3 (one junction south at junction 12) and the M4 (north, at junction 15 of the M25). Heathrow airport is to the north-west of the town and can be accessed via the A30.
