Ripley
Ripley is situated on the river Wey between Byfleet and Guildford.
The village centre on the old London to Portsmouth road (now bypassed by the modern A3) is rather traditional, with old pubs, antique shops, a (Michelin-starred) restaurant, Drake's, and a post office, amongst others.
Ripley Green, the village park, is behind the High Street whilst the Royal Horticultural Society's Wisley Gardens are a short drive to the north-east.
Ripley was the Surrey winner of the Calor Village of the Year competition in 2007.
The A3 is easily accessible from the village and in turn provides access to the M25 at junction 10. West Byfleet railway station, around 3 miles to the north, has mainline services to London.
