Godalming
Godalming is situated in south-west Surrey approximately 4 miles / 7km south of Guildford.
The town's shops are centered around the pedestrianised High Street on which the Pepperpot (the former town hall) can also be found. Charterhouse school moved to its current site on the north-western edge of the town in 1872.
The River Wey (navigable in the form of the Godalming Navigation from Godalming Wharf to Guildford) flows through Godalming and neighbouring Farncombe.
Godalming and Farncombe both have train stations on the Portsmouth-Guildford-London Waterloo line. The A3 trunk road is to the west of the town.
