The village of East Horsley is located on the A246 between Guildford and Leatherhead. The village centre is characterised by half-timbered buildings.

Close to the village centre is Horsley Towers, a victorian house in parkland now part of a conference centre and hotel.

Housing is typically in the form of individually-designed homes on small developments on tree-lined roads (see aerial photograph).

Horsley railway station is on the Guildford to London Waterloo railway line.
