The village of Byfleet is situated south of Weybridge.

The village centre around High Road includes a library and shops, and there are Tesco and Marks and Spencer stores a short drive away at Brooklands.

Located between Byfleet and Weybridge is Brooklands, the site of the first purpose-built motor racing circuit in the world. The area was later used for aircraft manufacture, and is now the site of Brooklands Museum, two superstores and housing and office developments.

Mercedes Benz World visitor centre opened at Brooklands in Autumn 2006 and includes exhibitions and driving experiences along with a 60-acre park.

Byfleet and New Haw rail station is on the mainline to Waterloo. The A3 trunk road passes to the south of the village, providing access to junction 10 of the M25 motorway. Alternatively, junction 11 of the M25 can be accessed at Chertsey.
